Deviation Actions
Right, this time round me and decided to share the burden of organising the devmeet, and as a consequence it's looking far more organised already. We're aiming to have it the weekend after easter(22nd of April) so as to avoid any family/religious obligations that'd stop people showing up. At this moment we've laid out a rough shcedule for the afternoon's fun and games
12-12:30 meet
12:30 Food/get to know people
1:30 Lighthouse/GoMA visit
3:00 Photoshoot/Sketching session at various points round glasgow city center
4:30 Traditional Pocky Run
5:00 Cake and Cookies in the park
6:30 Booze for the elder deviants if they so wish
We dedcided that, fun though they were, the previous Scottish Devmeets were lacking in actual artistic content. To remedy this,we've got a three hour block of artistic goodies starting with a trip to either The Lighthouse or the Gallery of Modern Art(GoMA). This will largely depend on the exhibits at both nearer the time but it is know that the Lighthouse will be hosting an exhibit called 'Architecture in Scotland 2004 –2006' featuring a varied selection of works in scotland from the last two years, including A'Chrannag on Rothesay by Gokay Deveci(lecturer at RGU who was one of my tutors last year).
Following the Lighthouse/GoMA trip,we'll begin what's become a regular event at recent devmeets, our Pocky run.But we'll be adding a twist to this one.Instead of just getting to Chinatown as quickly as possible,we're going to take our time and pass several noteable buildings and backdrops to allow for photographic and artistic oppertunities.I'll scout out specific buildings, areas and routes nearer the time but I will try to cater for everyone.
I'll also be using the 'neighbours' function to invite as many people as possible to this. Here's hoping it's a great success...

Movember
Hi,
I am growing a moustache this year for Movember. I have decided to put down my razor for one month (November) and help raise awareness and funds for men's health specifically prostate cancer.
What many people don't appreciate is that one man dies every hour of prostate cancer in the UK, more than 35,000 men will be diagnosed this year and that prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men in the UK. Facts like these have convinced me I should get involved and I am hoping that you will support me.
To donate to my Mo, you can either:

Okay,so I'm an idiot
Don't ask why, because I'll tell you. I,an average level artist who works too much to really dedicate the time to what's really a hobby, have decided to do something really challenging and adventurous. I'm going to create a comic book.
Now,I could do things the 'easy' way and do a one shot of 25-30 pages or I could, and those who know me should expect what's coming, take on a massive task that'll stretch my limits to and beyond breaking point. And there,as the Bard would say, lies the rub.
So as it stands I see three options.
a) Hamlet in an almost Sin City style. Good oppertunities for artistic development without worrying about plot and such

" I'm packed and I'm holding,
I'm smiling, she's living, she's golden and
she lives for me, She says she lives for me,
Ovation, She's got her own motivation,
she comes round and she goes down on me,
And I make her smile, It's like a drug for you,
Do ever what you want to do,
Coming over you,
Keep on smiling,
what we go through.
One stop to the rhythm that divides you,
And I speak to you like the chorus to the verse,
Chop another line like a coda with a curse,
And I come on like a freak show takes the stage.
We give them the games we play, she said,
I want something else, to get me through this,
Semi-charmed kind of life,
I wa
Sing for me
random thought process,I know. But the last day or so I've been wondering what songs people relate with me.
In short,I'd like people to name two songs.
1: that reminds you of me
2: one that you think describes me
think this should be interesting
